Maternity Leave for Twins and Multiple Pregnancy in Turkey: 26 Weeks
Leave for multiple pregnancy (twins, triplets) is longer than for a single pregnancy. The total is now 26 weeks.

The law adds 2 weeks to the 8-week pre-birth period in multiple pregnancy.
Unpaid leave
If you wish you may take up to six months of unpaid leave after the paid leave. For multiple pregnancy this right starts after the 26 weeks are completed.
Example
For twins with a due date of 15 January 2027 and birth on that day, leave starts on 6 November 2026 and ends on 6 May 2027.
