Social media age limit, e-Devlet verification and gaming platforms
Turkey’s social media age limit of 15 takes effect on 1 November 2026. This category has calculators and guides on how the new digital rules affect you.
The regulation published in Official Gazette no. 33396 on 10 October 2026 bans social network providers from serving children who have not turned 15. Users aged 15-17 will get a separated service, age verification will be done through e-Devlet and the deadline for existing accounts is 31 March 2027. The same law also brings rating and parental control obligations for gaming platforms.
